Background
Jacob graduated from the University of Queensland, Australia in 2020 with a degree in electrical and biomedical engineering. As an undergraduate, he studied how fractal sampling patterns could be used to accelerate MRI acquisition. In 2021, Jacob began his PhD in the Harvard MIT Health Sciences and Technology department. Captivated by the opportunity to apply engineering tools and perspectives to answer fundamental questions about the brain, he joined the Fee Lab soon after. In the Fee Lab, Jacob seeks to understand how sleep and other offline processes contribute to song learning.
