Background
Ali has an educational background in Computer Science, Cognitive Science, and Linguistics. She has worked in developmental cognition, as an intern in Laura Schultz’s lab at MIT during undergrad, and worked in programming, as a Software Developer in a small startup called RIFFIT. Through both paths, Ali has been inspired to find a way to combine her interests and was thus drawn to the Fee lab, where she has been a Lab Manager and Technical Associate I since 2023. Along with animal care and managing the lab, Ali is interested in creating and refining programs that can be used to study how external feedback impacts learning in the songbird.
