Background
A Northeast Ohio native, Aditya first became interested in songbird neuroscience in his final year at Columbia, where he was a Daniel Loeb scholar. After a year as a research assistant at Rockefeller University working with Gaby Maimon and Lisa Fenk on the neuronal processing of active retinal motion in Drosophila, Aditya started his Ph.D. at MIT’s Department of Biology in 2018 and joined the Fee Lab in the summer of 2019. Broadly interested in biological mechanisms of computation and a self-described scientific “generalist,” Aditya is working towards synthesizing systems and molecular perspectives on neuroscience.
In particular, Aditya is interested in the molecular mechanisms of behavioral evolution.
