    Background

Andrew graduated from The University of Michigan in 2015 where he studied neuroscience and music performance. As an undergraduate, he worked on the neural circuits for light and temperature entrainment of the circadian clock in D. melanogaster. Following his undergraduate work, Andrew was a Fulbright scholar in the lab of Edvard and May-Britt Moser where he worked on the question of how three-dimensional space is represented in the entorhinal cortex. In the Fee lab, Andrew studies how auditory and motor areas interact during song learning and develops analysis techniques for large-scale calcium imaging data.
